Choosing the True Treasure in Heaven

In the book of Matthew, it is written, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” These words hold immense wisdom and speak to the deeper meaning of life.

A Transformative Year: 2024

The year 2024 has brought about a profound change in my life. It has prompted me to reevaluate my priorities and reconsider the true value of material possessions. I have realized that the pursuit of wealth and worldly treasures often leads to disappointment and loss. The money I have spent on unnecessary expenses and legal proceedings far outweighs the profits I have made from my business.

However, there is something greater at stake here. It is not merely about financial gain or loss; it is about standing up for what is right and refusing to be bullied. I have chosen not to succumb to the wishes of those who seek to intimidate me. Instead, I have faced them head-on, even if it meant spending the same amount of money they demanded.

In the process, I have had to put a halt to the charitable endeavors I had planned for 2023. Like the treasures mentioned in the Bible, these plans were susceptible to destruction by rust and decay. They were devoured by the moths of adversity. As a result, I have decided to let go of these worldly possessions and instead focus on accumulating treasures in heaven.

Devoting Myself to Heavenly Treasures

From now on, I am rededicating myself to using my expertise in the field of education to help the helpless and children in need. By directly reaching out to those in need, I aim to make a meaningful impact in their lives. This way, my treasure will be safe from the grasp of thieves and the consumption of moths.

It is true that little thieves may still attempt to steal from me, and moths may try to devour my efforts. However, their influence will be limited. By focusing on heavenly treasures, I am building something that cannot be taken away. The little satan may be saddened by this shift, but the treasure of heaven will only grow stronger.

Let us all strive for an increase in the treasure of heaven. May our actions and endeavors be guided by the pursuit of eternal value rather than fleeting material possessions. In doing so, we can find true fulfillment and leave a lasting impact on the world around us.
